Timmy was an extraordinary cat, very intelligent and sociable, with real personality. We'll never know where he originally came from, but he was always determined to stay with us, even though he acquired other friends in the neighbourhood. We will always remember his friendly greeting each morning and the cuddles with him before he settled down to sleep on our sofa. He loved his daily walks with us around the block, whatever the weather, usually following us more closely than our other cats, as if on an invisible lead. Whenever he was invited for a walk with the call "Walkies!", he perked up, eager to go. But when we needed to walk somewhere further afield without any cats and told him "Stay!", he obediently stayed put. Our other cats joined us for walks only sometimes, so on various occasions we had one, two or three cats with us, but Timmy almost always came. Near the end of his life, our walks with him had to become shorter and slower. Timmy will be sadly missed and never forgotten. He is buried in our back garden,near our previous two cats.
